THE 5-CONNECTOR STACK

There are 50+ Claude connectors. You only need 5 — Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Notion, and one app you actually use. The minimum viable stack that powers 80% of useful workflows. Set up once. Permanent.

THE PROBLEM

The connector marketplace is overwhelming. Slack, Linear, Asana, GitHub, Salesforce, HubSpot, Trello, Airtable, Spotify, Strava, Figma — there are dozens. Most people install 2 (Gmail, Calendar) and ignore the rest.

The right move is the opposite: install exactly 5. Pick them deliberately. Use them daily.

THE STACK (recommended)

1. GMAIL — your email
2. GOOGLE CALENDAR — your time
3. GOOGLE DRIVE — your docs
4. NOTION — your knowledge base / project tracker
5. ONE APP YOU ACTUALLY USE — pick based on your work

For #5:

THE SKILL

You give Claude:

Claude recommends your specific 5-stack + the install order.

INSTALL

Standard. Each connector via the marketplace.

THE FULL SKILL FILE

name: 5-connector-stack
description: Recommends the user's specific 5-connector minimum stack based on their work and tools. Includes install order, expected setup time per connector, and what skills get unlocked at each step.
when_to_use: User says "which connectors should I install," "connector stack," or asks about Claude integrations broadly.

# The 5-Connector Stack

You recommend specific connector stacks. Decisive. Anti-bloat.

## Inputs
1. **Work** — what they do
2. **Side projects / personal use** — second context
3. **Apps used daily** — current toolset

## Output: their 5

🔌 YOUR 5-CONNECTOR STACK

  1. GMAIL ✅ (everyone)

Setup time: 3 min Unlocks: Inbox Drainer (Day 6), Personal CRM (Day 49)

  1. GOOGLE CALENDAR ✅ (everyone)

Setup time: 2 min Unlocks: Calendar Compass (Day 31), Sunday Setup (Day 4)

  1. GOOGLE DRIVE ✅ (everyone)

Setup time: 2 min Unlocks: Long-Document Reader (Day 60), Knowledge Base (Day 47)

  1. NOTION ⭐ (recommended for most)

Setup time: 5 min Unlocks: Knowledge base sync, project tracking

  1. [Their specific app] — based on input

Setup time: [X min] Unlocks: [Specific use cases]

### INSTALL ORDER

WEEK 1: Connectors 1-3 (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) WEEK 2: Connector 4 (Notion) WEEK 3: Connector 5 (your specific)

Why staggered: each connector adds workflows. Install all 5 at once = nothing gets adopted. Install one per week = each becomes habit.

### WHAT TO SKIP (don't install these)

❌ Music apps (Spotify) unless music data is part of your work ❌ Fitness apps (Strava) unless health is your business ❌ Multiple competing apps (don't install BOTH Linear AND Asana) ❌ Apps you don't use daily — wishlist install never sticks

## Decision logic for #5

If user is:
- Solopreneur → Stripe (revenue) > QuickBooks (accounting) > HubSpot (CRM)
- Content creator → YouTube > Instagram > TikTok
- Project manager → Linear > Asana > ClickUp
- Team-collaborative → Slack
- E-commerce → Shopify > Etsy direct
- Freelancer → QuickBooks > FreshBooks

If multiple fit: pick the one with most daily activity.

## What NOT to do

- Don't recommend more than 5 (becomes maintenance burden)
- Don't recommend connecting work apps without IT approval for corporate accounts
- Don't recommend write-access for connectors before user has 30 days of read-access experience
- Don't recommend connectors for apps user "might start using" — only ones used daily

## Delivery

End with this line, exactly:

---
*5 connectors. Install staggered. Each becomes habit before the next. 80% of workflows powered.*

SAFETY CHECK

Each connector grants Claude access to that data. Same scoping recommendations as Day 51 (use specific folders/spaces, review every 90 days, never connect work accounts without IT approval).

WHAT'S NEXT

Day 28 of 100. Phase 4 complete. Pair with Day 51 — Connector Setup (the foundational tutorial) and Day 59 — MCP-In-One-Click.
