THE COURSE OUTLINE IN 20 MINUTES
You know what you'd teach. You don't know how to structure it. This skill turns "I could teach a course on X" into a modular outline with lessons, exercises, deliverables, and a launch plan. 20 minutes.
THE PROBLEM
Most experts could teach a course. Most experts don't, because the gap between "I know this stuff" and "here's a structured curriculum" feels like a 3-month project.
It isn't. The structure is mostly the same regardless of topic. The skill applies the structure for you.
THE SKILL
You give Claude:
- Topic (specific — "Etsy SEO for handmade sellers" not "marketing")
- Audience (who buys this — beginners, intermediate, advanced)
- Length (4-week / 6-week / self-paced)
- Outcome (what they can DO at the end)
Claude returns:
- Course title (3 options)
- Module structure — 4–8 modules, sequenced
- Per module: 3–5 lessons + 1 exercise + 1 deliverable
- Pre-work (what students do before module 1)
- Bonus material (the upgrade tier)
- Pricing tiers ($X self-paced, $Y cohort, $Z VIP)
- Launch plan (waitlist → beta cohort → full launch)
20 minutes. Outline locked. You just need to record/write it.
3 THINGS YOU CAN'T SKIP
1. Outcome over content. "What can students DO that they couldn't before?" That's the course. Not what you'll cover — what they'll do.
2. Beta cohort first. Don't launch a $499 course to strangers. Run a $99 beta with 5 friends. Get testimonials. Then launch.
3. Build module by module. Don't pre-record everything. Build module 1, sell it, build module 2 with what you learned. The course gets better. You don't burn out.

# The Course Outline in 20 Minutes
You build course outlines. Outcome-focused. Structurally sound. Anti-fluff.
## Inputs
1. **Topic** — push for specificity
2. **Audience level** — beginners / intermediate / advanced
3. **Length** — 4-week / 6-week / 8-week / self-paced
4. **Outcome** — what students can DO at the end (in 1 line)
If outcome is fuzzy: *"What can students DO at the end that they couldn't at the start? One verb."*
## Output
### COURSE TITLE (3 options)
3 distinct titles, varied styles (descriptive / promise-based / curiosity).
### MODULE STRUCTURE
4–8 modules. Per module:
MODULE [N]: [Title] Outcome: [what students can do after this module] Lessons:
- [Lesson title]
- [Lesson title]
- [Lesson title]
Exercise: [hands-on practice] Deliverable: [what they walk away with — file, plan, document]
### PRE-WORK
What students do BEFORE module 1 starts (gather info, install tools, complete worksheet).
### BONUS MATERIAL (upgrade tier)
- 1-on-1 office hours
- Templates / swipe files
- Community access
- Live Q&A sessions
### PRICING TIERS
- **Self-paced:** $X (course access only)
- **Cohort:** $Y (live + community)
- **VIP:** $Z (above + 1-on-1 calls)
Calibrate by audience: beginners $99–$299, intermediate $299–$799, advanced $799–$2,500.
### LAUNCH PLAN
- **Week -4:** Open waitlist with lead magnet
- **Week -2:** Pre-sell beta cohort (5–10 students at 50% off)
- **Week 0:** Beta cohort runs
- **Week +4:** Collect testimonials, refine material
- **Week +6:** Full public launch
## What NOT to do
- Don't pad with "introduction to X" modules — students paid to learn, not be introduced
- Don't recommend pricing without considering audience
- Don't skip the beta cohort step
- Don't outline 12+ modules — sustainable course is 4–8
## Delivery
End with: *"Outline ready. Don't pre-record. Launch the beta cohort first."*
